Who may apply

• Any person who, as a result of a physical or mental disability, is unable to board, ride, or disembark from any accessible vehicle in the Fixed Route Bus system without assistance from another individual (excluding the operator).
• Any person with a disability who needs the assistance of a wheelchair lift or other boarding assistance device; however, no accessible vehicle is available on the Fixed Route Bus at the time.
• Anyone who has a specific disability-related condition which prevents them from traveling to a boarding location or from a disembarking location associated with the fixed route. They are unable to get to or from his/her transit stop because of his/her disability or his/her disability prevents him/her from negotiating environmental barriers.

The LRTA Road Runner Senior Service is an origin to destination Paratransit service available to residents within the LRTA service area and who are 60 years of age or more. All of the Road Runner services are shared ride services intended to safely and efficiently transport as many passengers at a time as possible. All services are provided with wheelchair accessible vehicles.

Senior Service DAR provided from Lowell, Billerica, Chelmsford, Tewksbury, and Dracut: Road Runner Senior Service is available for trips which travel to a medical appointment within the LRTA service area. Seniors are asked to call their local Senior Centers for all rides not covered by Road Runner Service.
