Narrative

Beaverbrook STEP’s outstanding Community Living and Housing services are designed to reflect each person’s own, personalized needs and wants for a home of their own.  Beaverbrook STEP provides a wide range of part and full time supported housing choices to  235 children, adults and elders.  We  offer a wide range of part and full time housing choices including:

  • individualized supports (in-home supports)
  • self-directed housing services
  • independent living
  • family support services
  • Agency with Choice services
  • shared living 
  • 24 hour specialized home

Beaverbrook STEP provides a variety of residential services including:

  • 24 hour supervised group residences
  • individualized supported living services
  • in-home support services 
  • shared living settings 

Each person is provided with a living setting that meets their own needs and preferred setting in the community. We have programs for learning or maintaining independent living skills. Services use a therapeutic mode with skill building and positive behavioral supports. We use community services and resources.

Homes located in Eastern Massachusetts including: Waltham, Belmont, Brighton, Brookline and Watertown.

Fees: According to DDS contract regs. Many homes are wheelchair accessible.  

Currently provide 35 group residences, 38 individual supportive living setting and 5 shared living settings. We serve 160 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). People may have related disabilities including autism, medical and behavioral needs.
