Narrative

Vinfen offers a comprehensive range of residential services for individuals and families to choose. This range offers varying levels of support from independent living to highly-supervised settings.

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTS

Individual Supports is a service model where an individual with a developmental or intellectual disability lives independently in their own home or apartment with intermittent support from Vinfen staff. Vinfen works with individuals and their families to develop a personalized model that meets the individual’s needs. This person-centered service is intended to help individuals attain the highest possible level of independence to live happy, productive, and valued lives. Services may include assistance with transportation, medication administration, meal planning, managing personal finances, social activity planning, representative payee, and management of benefits.

SHARED LIVING

Shared Living is a supported living arrangement where an individual, couple, or family share their home and life’s experiences with a person with an intellectual or developmental disability. Shared Living arrangements closely replicate a private home experience and maximize the individual’s independence and quality of life. Shared Living Providers are pre-screened, professionally trained, and matched with an individual. They provide a safe and comfortable home environment and support the individual with tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, arrangement of and transportation to medical appointments, as well as socialization and participation in the community.
