Narrative

Through our Shared Living program, people in the community open their homes. They offer direct support to people with a developmental disability (DD) or autism. Matches are often made based on interests shared by hosts and members. It can be hobbies, art and music, sports, or joining in community service.

People in the program each have a care plan that includes medical and rehab support from providers at ServiceNet and in the community. Our program staff provide hosts with training and ongoing support. We work with people who may struggle with some of the daily tasks of living. They may help hosts in setting up employment, health appointments, rec activities, and more.
