Works to eliminate housing discrimination. Helps or advises people with disabilities about their rights to receive reasonable accommodations and reasonable modifications in housing.

Some of these legally-protected categories include:

• familial status (e.g. the presence of minor children or pregnancy),

• veteran or military status,

• gender identity,
• marital status,
• receipt of public assistance (e.g. food stamps),

• genetics
